Quarterly Prize Draws
Effective date: October 30, 2026
PLANNED PROGRAM — NOT YET OPEN. The first entry period and draw date have not been announced. This section describes LCKD’s intended Ontario quarterly prize program, but it is not the final official contest rules and does not currently accept entries. A separate final rules notice, with the actual prize, no-purchase entry method and dates, must be published before the first contest opens.
1. Overview
LCKD plans one random prize winner every three months, with a physical prize or cash prize valued at up to CAD $20,000. The actual prize may differ each quarter: illustrative possibilities include a lawn mower around $1,500 or a $2,000 cash prize. “Up to $20,000” is not a promise that every draw will award $20,000.
2. Company-funded prize budget
LCKD intends to set aside amounts from company funds for eligible projects only when those projects are completed and paid in full:
| Qualifying completed and fully paid project | Quarterly prize contribution |
|---|---|
| Under $1,000 | $0 — not eligible |
| $1,000 to $3,000 | $50 per project |
| More than $3,000 | $100 per project |
LCKD’s intention is to allocate the entire accumulated quarterly contribution amount toward that quarter’s cash or physical prize rather than retaining an unused amount. The mechanism for handling any quarter in which allocated contributions exceed the advertised $20,000 maximum must be settled before launch. This prize budget is LCKD’s internal expenditure, not a charge for contest tickets or an additional fee to customers.
3. Planned entries and eligibility
The planned customer-entry formula is one entry for each complete $1,000 of eligible project value on a qualifying completed and fully paid job valued at least $1,000. Examples of potentially eligible services include full roofing work and qualifying lighting or exterior projects. Entries are not issued based solely on an unsigned quote, a deposit, a website inquiry or work not yet fully paid. LCKD has not chosen a maximum ticket cap. Final eligibility, treatment of taxes, refunds and attribution will be defined in the official rules before the program opens.
4. No purchase necessary
The promotion is intended to offer a genuine no-purchase-needed method for eligible Ontario residents, without requiring letters, essays, postcards or handwritten submissions. The practical online entry method, fair entry equivalence, identity and abuse controls and accessibility process still require final design and legal review. No purchase is required to enter an active legally compliant contest. Declining marketing SMS or email must not prevent a person from using the no-purchase route.
5. Draw and winner verification
The intended program is for Ontario residents aged 18 or older, excluding specified program insiders and their households. One potential winner would be chosen through an auditable random process each quarter, verified for eligibility and required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question before being confirmed as the winner. The final rules will state the actual prize, approximate retail value, entry dates, draw date, odds information, contact and claim deadlines, replacement-winner process and prize delivery arrangements.
6. Future official rules take priority
LCKD will publish full, quarter-specific rules before collecting entries. No material prize change or reduction should occur after an announced quarter has begun. An advertised value of up to $20,000 is a ceiling, not a minimum. Once an eligible draw is active, its published official rules will control. This program is separate from the LCKD lawn-sign reward and SickKids donations. Questions can be directed to info@lckd.ca.
